Plant Shops in Paris: Where to Buy Plants

Spring is on the horizon which means it’s time to start thinking about plants. When I was going to French school, I sat next to a girl who is a plant mom. She offered to give me a plant, to which I informed her that I am, in fact, a plant killer. She assured me that she could help, and she would give me a plant that I could not kill. I was doubtful. But in a couple of weeks I was gifted a monstera.

Fast forward to the first lockdown in Paris. Surprisingly, after following my friend’s thorough and detailed instructions, the monstera survived. When we were freed from the lockdown, the first thing I did was meet my friend and some others at Plantes Pour Tous, a cheap plant warehouse in Paris. I wasn’t going to buy anything. But then I spotted all these amazing graphic, pink-coloured plants and I couldn’t resist. Thus, the plant addiction was born, and I too became a crazy plant lady.

Leaf

Leaf is a lovely plant shop where not only can you buy plants, they will also pot them for you. They have pretty decorative cache-pots and terracotta pots in different sizes and colours with soucoupes too.

La Green Touch

If you’re into terrariums, La Green Touch offer terrarium-making workshops, DIY kits, and ready-made terrariums. But you can also find some rare plants here too.

My friends and I love visiting ‘Shawnee’ located in the historic Marché aux Fleurs Reine Elizabeth II. This is the place to go for rare and variegated plants – that can often cost between 80-120€.

This is the cheap plant warehouse I was talking about. If you’re on a budget,  this is the place to go. Small baby plants start at 2€, then you have plants for 5€, 10€, 15€, and 20€.
